In 2023, we sourced 84.7 % of our purchasing volume from suppliers in Germany. In 2022, the proportion of suppliers based in Germany was 83.5 % - measured by purchasing volume. This means that the high national environmental and social standards also apply to the majority of our direct suppliers. In addition, the proximity to our suppliers ensures short transportation routes. For example, innovative ecological materials are tested for their suitability for series production in the product development process.\\n\\nFurther examples of testing and implementing ecologically sound measures with our suppliers:\\n\\n- After the packaging of the seating furniture was reduced by a third in 2021 by reducing the wall thickness of the LDPE film, the film was switched to 80 % post-consumer recycled LDPE, certified with the Blue Angel, in 2023.\\n- In 2021, we switched our production of extruded aluminium profiles to aluminium with reduced CO2 emissions.
